About:
The Positive Movement Foundation provides under served and at-risk children and youth with the tools and support to increase their likelihood for success as they mature. In addition, the foundation will also provides secondary assistance to parents in the future. In conjunction, we believe this will allow the children the greatest chance of succeeding in their goals. A 501c3 non-profit, the foundations goal is to work directly with community schools and provide their students with educational tools such as school supplies and laptops, education workshops, scholastic scholarships, mentorships, tutoring, and empowerment events to support the growth of our future generations. The foundation is also committed to supporting causes, charities, and other non-profits that create a positive movement in their communities through opportunities for underserved and at-risk children & youth.
The foundation focuses on sponsoring whole classrooms of children between 4th and 8th grade with the intention to be active and involved for a period of no less than 2 school years in order to make a lasting positive impact. During that time, the children will receive a variety of resources, as well as education and coaching on emotional intelligence, a subject often neglected in our current educational process, but crucial to empowerment and to making positive movement towards achieving the life of their dreams. In addition, the students in the program will be encouraged to pay it forward and coached on how to tutor and mentor the class year below them, to eventually create a self-sustaining and nurturing mentor process within the school.
The foundation currently sponsors Bell, a Middle school of about 800 students from 6th-8th grade. Our commitment to Bell is for a minimum of two years and through the 2024 school year and we plan to add a second school at the start of the 2022-2023 school year.
