Our campus is trauma informed and we recognize that our work includes focusing on academics, as well as identifying and meeting the social emotional needs of students and the adults to create a healthy, safe and welcoming environment. Donations and acts of kindness from the Positive Movement Foundation help us address issues of generational poverty, compassion fatigue, individual and community trauma, and academic, social and food insecurities. 7866 Lincoln Street, Lemon Grove, CA 91945

Our partnership with +MVMNT has been a driving force behind the incredible turnaround at Lemon Grove Academy Middle School. Their commitment and approach to problem solving our site's biggest obstacles have brought about transformative results: suspension rates have dropped by over 50% and teacher retention has reached unprecedented levels, fostering a positive and thriving staff and student culture. Academically, we’ve celebrated remarkable progress with improved CAASPP Math and Reading (State Testing) scores across all grade levels. We’ve reached the highest Reading proficiency levels in our District Benchmark Assessments, with 28% of our students on or above grade level. Additionally, our commitment to creating a welcoming school environment is clear in our attendance numbers, with an average weekly attendance of over 94% all year, peaking at 95.5%! This is our best attendance rate compared to last year's highest average. As far as engagement, 19% of our students achieved perfect attendance and 40% were on the Honor Roll in the 1st quarter this year. This growth, paired with a 5% enrollment increase from last year, is proof of the value we are collectively adding to our school community every day.

As a community school, the generosity of +MVMNT’s donors has amplified our ability to serve students and families holistically. These contributions have supported targeted programs, academic interventions, and initiatives that empower both students and staff. Our teachers feel encouraged, valued, and appreciated—resulting in a more inspired and motivated team dedicated to nurturing student success. This renewed energy has created a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Beyond the metrics, +MVMNT’s partnership is about building hope and community. Their support has instilled a sense of purpose in our students, fostering engagement and pride in their education. Together, we are transforming lives and proving what’s possible through the power of collaboration and belief in a brighter future.
